FREESTYLE FRIDAY

Top of the afternoon and Happy Friday everyone. Today I was inspired to do a wall art canvas for my office. The fabric I choose is from one of my favorite impressionist artist Vincent Van Gogh. http://www.joann.com/search?q=starry+night. I purchased my favorite at my local Joann Fabrics and Crafts. I have loved this painting since the 7th grade, thanks to my art teacher Mrs.Green for introducing to this piece. But first a few interesting facts about this piece. The name of this piece is entitled "Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh. This amazing portrait was painted in 1889 which depicts the view facing from the east window of his asylum room just before sunrise. This painting is permanently displayed at the museum of modern art in New York. For this project, I used 16X20 canvas board purchased at Michael Craft Stores, 1 yard of fabric and push pins purchased from the dollar tree. This is a fun inexpensive project that can add life to any room. My canvas sit atop my shelf above my desk in my office. Just Living

Hello to everyone out there in blogger land. Thanks to everyone who follow my motivation blog at www.motivationbyshamikia.com. I have decided to begin a second blog, dedicated to travel, fashion, inspiration and just living life one day at a time. Life is precious and I plan to enjoy every minute of it.
